Permaculture Inspired Food & Art Festival

Workshops, food and family in the day... music, lights, fire and art at night

The inspiration for this gathering comes from another solar-related event hosted by the 'Om Reunion Project' in southern Ontario, The Solstice Festival (props omies!). Solstice Festival is an event "where everyone pARTicipates in creating the magic, and volunteers to make it happen. The community that attends the festival helps to build an oasis of workshops, art, music, healing, camping and a community kitchen."

In the spirit of Common Ground Fair (US), Boom Festival (PO), and Solstice Festival (CA), we are creating a "transformational" festival. This transformation is both personal and cultural, enabled by healthy food, opportunities to connect deeply with the natural world, skills sharing, workshops, and of course art and music.  Here you'll acquire skills & insights applicable to daily life, whether that involves city or country living.

Vandana Shiva tells us that we have to first change our thinking before we can change our practice. The "Praxis Project" presents an opportunity for true "higher learning": seed-saving, soil-building, food-preserving, and other skills delivered in a context of earth democracy.
